Thinking about getting into the new Classic and was curious as to whether a hydraulic plate would be an asset in getting into shallow, stumpy areas. All comments welcome! It is a convenience not a necessity on any boat IMO. Ive fished shallow stumpy water with and without. It doesnt get me in shallower water, but I can run it up some without having to trim up as much. Some anglers like it so they can easily raise or lower based on load for optimum performance. Once you get a manual plate set you can leave it there in most situations. With all that said, the last cougar I had used one, and the one I am picking up next week has one. It comes down to another option and is it worth the money to you.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
