Is it just me or do yall think the wingmaster lower unit has something to do with the hole shot issues. Guys I know with the torquemasters on the same rigs dont seem to have the issue. I also think the torquemaster has more lift built into it. The wingmaster seems to provide more tail lift than bow lift. Just my experiences so far with little seat time in a new boat. Not that its bad, just different and requires a little different setup than the old torquemaster. I will be experimenting a little more but so far I have tried a 27″ trophy, 26″ fury, 25″ fury. The 25″ fury provides by far the better hole shot as you would expect but the pleasant surprise is that it doesnt lose much on top. Its still an 80 mph rig with the 25″ fury, all my tackle, full fuel and my 205 pound self in the drivers seat in South Louisiana heat and humidity. One thing I really like about the 25″ is that when you load it up with more people, livewells full and all that it still comes out well and doesnt seem to lose much at all on the top end vs. an unloaded rig. I have an Atlas Hydraulic plate and set it at 1/2″ up and throttle down. No blow out on break over and no bogging. It seems to run best on top end at this height also. Again, this is with limited seat time on a 2014 Eyra. Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
