Im wanting to change to this prop on my TM. Right now I have the Machete. My TM is 71#. The website is confusing. One place it only recommends this prop for the 82 and 109. Then another place it recommends for 24 or 36 volt system. Can I use this prop? Im looking for something thats more weedless. the hacker prop is only for the digital motors. I tried it on mine. didnt work.

2 guys in my club run MK props on their MG motors says in only takes a little work with A dremel tool and is alot more weedless .We fish the Lower Potomac which has alot of grass .I am going to try it myself .Last edited by DINKSLAYER on March 1st, 2009, 12:49 am, edited 1 time in total.

Can you post pic of the mods??? You guys may also want to wait on the MG Safarie prop….looks simular to the MK and very close to the old OMC prop. I saw one at the Classic and they should be out by April ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud

Either the MK propeller or wait and see IF (note) they release a newer design.

Saw the Safari prop on-line in the 2009 MotorGuide catalog. I am going to try one of these as soon as it hits the stores. Thanks Elwood for the heads up.

Hydrilla hacker fits 3.5 inch hubs. This prop carries a heavier load on your motor and is not designed for everyday use. I bought one and tried it at Rayburn…in my opinion, it did not go thru weeds or pads as well as the 3 blade machete, nor did it have as much thrust. I put the machete back on and kept it as a spare.
