No i do not have a BASS CAT i have a 2006 20 ft NORRIS CRAFT XLD-vee with a 250xs on it. I have been looking at this forum for the past several months and the wealth of information and the comraderie of all the people on this forum is absolutely fantastic. Everyone is very cordial and extremly helpful. I look at it every night. I also like the ideal of the BCB moderator chiming in to help everyone. This is a great forum and i hope everyone will except me even though i do not own a BC. Wish i did though.

Well I some wouldnt believe this but these devices though do serve a purpose puts a tremendous amount stress on the cavitation plate. For those who dnt know wat this is . This is the plate that these devices of sort fasten to. I have seen these cause cracking in the cavitation plate itselve. More than once I seen this. Plus when idling around one increase the chances of picking up small objects between the prop and cavatation plate in return wat u get is a well lets just say a trip to the insurance agent2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

Good advice REDngoo. A cracked cavitation plate over a $50.00 hydrofoil would be very dissapointing to say the least

Had one on my smaller boat sucked on bad weather couldnt keep the nose up.helped holeshot tho.I used a Bryans foil from BBC boards
