How many gallons are the livewells in the puma ftd. So I can use the correct amount of hydrogen peroxide.

If you base most models on 25 gallons you will have sufficient additive. The Puma FTD are larger than this.

dont use the over the counter H2O2 and not advise to injest it as Mr. Hannon noted. It has to many stabilizers in it that are not recommended to swallow. Use food grade 35% and dilute. Also must be stored in refrigerator for proper handling and safer for the fish

he says use 3% never does he say 35% . what is the difference with 3% over the counter peroxide or the 35% you suggest.

He doesnt say you can swallow it either but can gargle with it.blackdc is saying to take the 35% and dilute it down to 3%. For every 1 ounce of 35% add 12 ounce of water will get you to 3%.You dont want to put too much of it in a livewell either because too much oxygen can be bad for fish. Im thinking fill your livewell to about 3/4 full (for a puma ftd). Add ice. Run it on recycle. Then an hour after you catch fish add 4 oz of the 3%. An hour and half later add another 4 oz. After 4 hours exchange the water and ice, then start H2O2 cycle again. This seems like it would maintain a level of oxygen in the tank better. Im just thinking out loud there. Someone may know better.I did read that if the lake is under 80F, you probably dont need to add H2O2.

I used the 3% 4 oz of it last night in say 25 gallons of water. had four fish and all was very alive and active at weigh in. the lake I fished was a small conservation lake with no running water with surface temps above 90. can I use rejuvenade for slime coatwith the peroxide?Last edited by Earle Hammond on July 25th, 2010, 6:26 pm, edited 2 times in total.

Ive saw on one of the FLW shows where a guy, before take off, was using both while preparing his live well. I think it was the show when Scott Suggs won the million? Glynn

Hey guys, I have been fishing in a local club for about ten or more years now and all the time I have been fishing out of a BassCat and with all brands of boats in the club neither I nor any other Basscat owner has lost a fish in the livewell as long as our pumps were working and this is in Mississippi and it sure gets hot enough here. Occasionaly when coming out of the water I will shut down the recirculator and leave the aerator on and add a little ice but that is about it.
