Ive had one for the last three years. Does it work? Your guess is good as mine. If you get one, then you have to decide which sound is best. Is there any way to determine this. No. Once you find a sound that you think is working, then you have decide if the delayed sound is better than the continuous. Then you have to determine the volume. Would I advise on purchasing one for yourself? No and the biggest reason is you will never no whether it is actually working. Save your $300 and put some gas in the boat!

Phil, Ive heard many people talk about the Hydrowave. I think your comments make the most sense of any Ive heard.

I think there are a lot of fishing things out there that were designed to catch FISHERMEN. Anybody throwing a helocopter lure lately?????

If youre getting your ass kicked by someone that has one on their boat and knows how to use it,,,,,, then there is something to it. To me it is just another tool in the arsenal, and if it will keep the school going for a little longer ? Well, what can it hurt ?Then again,,,, Livingston lures ?Mighty bite ?Laser lure ?Alabama rig ?Green lights ?UFOs ?I did not have sex with that woman ?

Im sold on it for smallmouth in deep water. The first time I used mine I caught 2 about 8 feet directly uder the speaker then I had a 3 pounder attack the speaker itself.

I have the original version (portable) and my first experience with it ….my jaw dropped. Floating atop a large submerged and sporadic grass bed that seemed void of fish I set unit up and turned it on….I had bass all around me (maybe 10 that I could see). They were in the grass and came out. Unreal. YES I did manage to catch two. My wife and I were all giddy about it.

Ive been skeptical of these since day one. Could this be the “magical ” edge on a given day.? Sure! Will it persistently prove itself? I dont kno about all that! Are there a day when one is using the “WAVE” and seems ur the only one catching fish. Im not real big in these types of products. Remember the “color selectors ” that were and probably still a few around. There were people that swore by these. So back to the word “SUCCESS “. A MAN THAT IS HAVING SUCCESS NO MATTER WAT HE IS DOING OR USING WILL BE HARD TO CHANGE HIS MIND . I never doubt another mans beliefs or theorys behind one reasoning for catching fish or whatever he is having success at. Mike Ive seen plenty of your pictures of Big smallies..I KNOW YOU CAN CATCH FISH. Does the wave play a role? Your “Success” says yes. Ive heard all the stories as well, and I guess you cant really say yes OR no for sure. If it gives you confidence, it works, if it doesnt I dont guess it does. I was at a session Ike was speaking at and this topic came up. In his opinion, it helps/works about 1/3 of the time. There are situations where it really seems to make a difference but more often it doesnt. Are the $$$ worth success rate of 33.3 %, it is in baseball…….
