I think I got it bad… Anybody been there?

I went out and hit the water this morning at daybreak, fished 7 hours, caught 3 measly bass, none not even keepers….. Driving home frustrated, decided to take my friends advise and let the boat rest a month or so, till the hot months pass. Had my mind made up! Had the economic reasons settled in my brain that its just not worth it right now. Makes only good sense, seeing Im not that experienced anyway………. Then something happened in my reasoning of common sense…….. Ill be on the water in the morning again!!!!Can anybody relate??

No I cant relate to that…Usually Im ready to sell everything I own fishing related on my way home….hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I see it a different way. Days like that make me want to go back to that same body of water until I figure it out. Had a few days like that this spring, spent a week of vacation time going back and it was like unlocking a code. Went from being extremely frustrated to getting on big fish regularly all spring there by just sticking to it. Think about what you did, and didnt, do. Then do some reading about different ways to attack that particular water type and conditions, make a new plan and reattack. Micheal Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. Im pretty sure he didnt put the ball up and stay out of the gym for a month.- Chaz

All good responses. I can relate with all except night fishing, and I been wanting to try it but just havent gotten around to it. BTW, fished another body of water this morning…. 1 fish …. 12 inches lol…. No comment except… If it wasnt a challenge, I probably wouldnt care to go back…. Soooooon!!

I went fishing last Monday. Didnt catch a thing. I said to myself, Im going to take a break from fishing. So, of course I went fishing yesterday to the same lake, tried different things and…didnt catch a fish! . My local lake is pretty fair in the spring and early summer, then again in the fall. Mid summer I fish off shore and just cant catch anything. But, I will be back out there next week. I never learn.

Fishing has been pretty much like bow hunting for me. Every time I think I have got them figured out they throw me a curve ball and I realize I am not so smart! Often I feel like I dont know crap.Dan
