These pictures were made 1/11/2010 around 9AM from my sea wall on Logan Martin Lake. With glare from sun its hard to tell but the different look is actually ice out in the main channel of the Coosa River. I live on the main channel just upriver from what the locals call The Park. Look close and you can see the birds are standing on ice not floating in water. I know this is nothing to sgt93 and those north of the Mason Dixon but I have NEVER seen ice in the main river only in protected pockets. For the locals the first pic is Paradise Point, second is river bank below Paradise Point, third is Goat Island.
