I laid off of tournament fishing for the last 2 years but I am going back now and I cant wait. Im leaving Thursday morning to go to Rayburn for three days and fish a club tournament. I hope to tee one up one of those days also. I have a new Callaway driver that is just screaming my name. I dont imagine the females have moved up yet but was wondering about water condition and lake level. Last I checked I think it was about 6-6.5 feet low. Any advice is appreciated. traps, traps, traps, cover water, cover water, cover water and hope you hit the right ditch or point that has them stacked. One day youll catchem, the next day theyre gone. Just cross you fingers and hope youre at the right place at the right time. The lake is low as you stated, temps are in the upper 50s, and by the next full moon theyll be on the beds big time! As far as fishing and golf……………my golf at rayburn couldnt be much worse than my fishing if that tells you something. good luck and hope you have a good time!

Thanks Phil. I already broke out the Traps. I have more red traps than any tackle store. If your golf game is half as “bad” as your fishing I dont want to play against you. LOL!!!!! Seriously…Im just looking forward to going. I am so involved with my kids that I thought I would just give up tournament fishing for a while. I missed it so much that I just had to make time to go. The hardest and easiest thing I ever did was sell my BassCat. It was hard because I dearly loved that boat and it was easy at the same time because I knew that if I didnt have it I would make sure I would devote more time to my kids, especially my 8 year old son. I have a lifetime to get another boat. My boy is growing up right in front of me and I dont want to miss any of it. Jason
