People change graphs. They either stay with the same brand or will change brands. Just a heads up that will save you time.If you have the Lowrance 83/200khz transducer already glassed into the hull, then go to Motorguide and look for adapters to go to the new unit. This is if youre going to a different transducer connection or a Humminbird. The Motorguides now with built in transducers are using “Lowrance ready” ends, which means it has the blue end we are all familiar with. The Lowrance transducer you have will either have a blue end or a black end. If you have a blue end and going to a Lowrance with blue, all is good. If youre going to a Humminbird, you can get an adaptor to go from the blue connection to the Humminbird. If you have a black end, there is an adapter that will go to either a blue Lowrance, or an adapter that will go to Humminbird.By using the adaptors, It will save you running and epoxying the high speed transducer in the hull.JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

John,In looking at changing over my Lowrance units, I had read that my transducer cable would fit the new unit but that the remote temp probe would not work. With the adapter to change over to the blue connector, will the remote temp probe work?Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
My Mrs. just purchased me some touch units. Can I use my glassed in Hummingbird transducer with the new touch 9 Gen 2?

The transducer is mounted in the bilge area and the temp probe is attached to the transom. Question: I have an old lowrance transducer epoxied in, and now have a humminbird at the console. (The old transducer is a blue end.) From looking at the pictures on the motorguide website, the adapter has pins (male) as does the existing transducer cable. Am I missing something or will I need something else to connect the two?

Am I missing something or will I need something else to connect the two?I just discovered this myself and Im going Lowrance to Lowrance. Pretty disappointed when I went to hook up my new HDS to the old transducer and found that the adapter wouldnt work as is. And after looking at the adapters again, I guess I just answered myself. These adapters are apparently only for use on trolling motors with built-in transducers. I guess the connections are different on those.
