I have a question about how in dash depth finders are wired in at the factory? Lowrance suggests: Have both sets of red & black wires leading from the power cable going to a 12 volt source, with spade fuse links on both. I recently installed a Lowrance 520c, replacing a Lowrance X52. I just used the existing red and black connections that were under the dash. It is wired in through the master power switch. So the question is, does the master switch have a fuse, and does it comply with what Lowrance is requiring? Im assuming yes, but Im having issues with my GPS unit not acquiring satellites, and wonder if it is a power issue (which Ill be testing tonight). Im working with Linda Colt to rectify the problem. Prior to sending in the puck for replacement I need to make sure it isnt some other issue. BTW, Linda Colt at Lowrance is a savior. Without her Im not sure what Id do. – Jason
