I was wondering were everybody installs the structure scan box and the expansion port box on there basscat? i was thinking in front of drivers console in storage box or would it be good in battery compartment area? Were is everybody installing them at? Thanks! i currently have a hds 8 in front and a 5 on console and lwx antenna so i have to have the expansion port for network.
Some install them in the starboard rod lockEr, while a few have room under the console. You will need another Ethernet cable to link them as only one comes with the LSS1 side scan, to go to one unit.
Ive got a 2007 Puma and mine is located under the drivers console. You dont even know its there.I have a HDS 10 at the console and a HDS 5 on the bow. The cord for the HDS 5 runs down the drivers side rod box. Youll see where the other wires are run from the rod box.
