I had hijacked the DECAL Tread to ask this question but I just thought I would start a new one. BCB Puma wrote: Windex works well. Apply windex to boat surface, apply sticker, work excess soap out from under sticker. Wait awhile and carefully remove backing. What about others is this what you are using to install on the hull, I would think the ammonia in the Windex would attack the decal adhesive

If it is like most other decals, I would mix one or two drops of Dawn soap into a spray bottle full of water and it should work great. That is what I always was told to use by the sign makers that I know. Just allow it to dry good before you try to peel the top protector of the sticker off if there is one.

Yea, I called them decals but I think they really should be called vinyl stickers, like below ( I hi-jacked this picture for reference) Getting ready to install and the more info the better, I hate it when something goes wrong and then someones says Oh you mean you didnt do it this way !!!!!Ask first and hear everyone thoughts than act. Basscat Stickers on hull

Soap and water in a squirt bottle then move decals where you like them and use a credit card to get all the air bubbles out.God Bless, Stephen

Yeah it is the same thing as the boat numbers on your boat. Just use the soap and water technique and you will be set.
