any tricks for installing deck lights

i have a couple. the way i did mine was i mounted the strips and ran the pig tails into rod lockers on the bow. i did not want to drill holes into my 10 year old 40,000.00 dollar boat. the lights on the back deck i did the same way but i ran the wires through the drain hole in the gutter of those boxes. ill send you some pictures if youd like.

When adding these led light are in line resistors being added. R does it require one.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

I ran my wires into the rocker lights on either side of the gunnels on my CougarFTD.

Clean the tape surface with alcohol prior to installation.Use “T” tap connectors from 3M for your electrical connection. Drill a 3/16th hole for the wires using black silicone (others will discolor) to seal the holes after the wires install. Thats all i can think of at the moment.
