Trying to install structure scan. Have a few questions. First of all I know nothing about wiring, so Im taking my boat to a dealership to have it installed. But I have a few questions. I have an 09 Pantera classic. I do not have the A-10 dash. I have the round dash insert to the right of the steering wheel. So there is no switch to wire the lss-1 to turn on and off. My question is this. If it is wired so that anytime the master power is turned on will I always be running my batteries down? If so what are my other options? I want it done right but i dont want to take the chance of running down the cranking battery all the time. Can I have some sort of switch installed that can be used to turn the lss-1 module on and off when needed so that this is not a problem. I know on the A-10 dash it is wired to a switch so you can do this. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Installed in the bilge area. Shuts off everything.

I have Structure Scan units on the trolling motor and the on the stern, I wired the yellow wire from the stern LSS to the HDS 10 at the console and the yellow wire from the trolling motor mounted LSS to the bow HDS 7. When I turn the HDS units on it turns on the Structure Scan boxes. You can also add a switch in and power them that way instead. I run them both all day, along with the livewell and have had no battery issues so far. Mike
