Took a friend out yesterday (bit cool, temp in upper 50s when we got on the water). He had two complaints.First, he wanted to see how the thing would run, said his boat was touching 70 with a 250 Pro XS. Was curious how close I could get to 70. 🙂 10-15mph wind, so no 2 stuff, but still choppy. I asked him “how fast?” He said “whatever it will do.” Headed up-river and waited until we reached a stretch where the wind was blowing across the water to make it a bit smoother. No current (no power generation at lay dam). As we touched 75 he waved at me to slow down. I did. Once we got to where we were going to fish some docks, his first remark was “holy jesus… That thing will run, and exactly what is the wind chill at 75?” I replied “told you to dress warmly”. :)Second complaint came as he was fishing up front with me (had deck extension in). He stepped down to lower deck and immediately complained “Dang, that hurt, what on earth did they do to make the deck that stiff? Felt like I stepped down on to a concrete floor.” He owns another brand and said that when he stepped down it was a much softer landing as his floor had some give when he landed.Told him that is just two of MANY reasons to own a bass cat. 🙂
