Ordered a Pantera 2 on 3/04/15 told by dealer that BCB said it would be 5-7 weeks at six weeks told that the boat was 2 to2.5 weeks out. Called today at 8 weeks and told that BCB said 2-3 weeks more. This is customer diservice at its max.Not impressed with BCB, there customer service is overrated. They, not the dealer should have called me and told me the reasons for the delay which I feel they should be on top of, its not the 1st Pantera tht they have built. I made plans based upon the informtion i was told. Hard to get over this. I feel that BCB could care less about the customer. I went into this after talking to other BCB owners and there brgging about customer service. BAD TASTE.
I understand your frustrations but actually your dealer is the one that keeps in contact between you and BCB. Yours may not be this way, but some dealers do the final rigging and prepping of the boat for the customer. Sometimes there are delays due to having to wait on vendors to ship parts to BCB. That is beyond their control and your dealer should able to find out if that is the problem. Again, I understand your frustrations and totally sympathize with the fact that you made plans based on a timeline that was given to you. It will be worth it in the end but that doesnt help you now.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
We are sorry you feel this way though you are a customer of one boat, and the dealership is also our customer of many boats. BCB also does not commit to weeks of delivery time. They do estimate present backlog though engine receipts and other vendor items complicate delivery. For example one particular engine is now approximately 10 weeks out of delivery to us. Ford does not contact the individual consumer and explain anything on receipt of a a vehicle. That is the dealerships position and that is also BCB policy. There is not to be any information on boat deliveries shared between in house staff and consumers. Even if a Completion date was shared, dealership plans on deliveries and adding other boats to that delivery, or BCB bulk shipping to multiple dealers, or unknown schedules of dealers delaying preparation of the boat once They receive the boat. Bass Cat does care greatly about each consumer though policy has been discussed on sharing deliveries with consumers many times.

Welcome to the family!
Everything happens for a reason . — We just dont get to know what the reason is until after the fact , if at all . — Frustration , understood , but stressing over it is harmful , in more ways than one . — Great things come to those who wait , patiently . — An old adage about a bird in the hand versus 2 in the bush comes to mind . — Bassinman , Im sorry your plans got screwed up by this unfortunate turn of events , but it will all work out in the end . — You always have the option to cancel if youre truly that dissatisfied . — Whatever your decision , take care , and God Bless . — If you decide to stay in the family , WELCOME !! —
Thats a lot of hate misdirected. As noted above, BCB does not provide the kind of information that you have been getting from your dealer. I suspect they are trying to “guess” when things will happen to sooth you and have created this situation with best intentions. BCB has earned its reputation from years of feedback. Be patient.
I will bet that a number of us have felt the same at some point. Waiting on a repair, waiting on delivery, the list goes on when its a boat. I been there. Bcb bent over backwards once to put a boat from Cali in my driveway years ago. To think now How frustrated I was when they got it to AR still makes me cringe. Just wanted a boat and had been told by non factory folks a delivery time that couldnt be executed by forces outside bcb. Knowing those guys now after years of ownership only makes me feel even worse. But like most of us as well when it arrives, you get break in and anything else worked out youll wonder if the post still represents your feelings. Maybe it will maybe it wont. Usually it doesnt but I know how hard that is to feel now. In the past 4 weeks my fishing buddy died at 55, another good friend at 47 leaving 3 young kids to raise and now more than ever Ive felt how short our time to fish can be….BUT…..youll get time and itll be great.C.O.D. sounds like the dealer is just blowing smoke, remember there salesman but what does that have to do with BCB, shouldnt the dealer have given you the serial number and you could look it up on facebook to see the pictures of the boat being built like all the other BCB boats built? i dont know of any other boat or car manufacturer who does that, again he is a salesman and not a BCB employee. be patient and know when you get the boat and have any questions they will be promptly answered on this forum or with a call to BCB, i can attest to BCBs customer service and my friends have seen it also and are now looking at some BCB used boats because of it.Last edited by socalpIII on April 30th, 2015, 3:25 pm, edited 2 times in total.
There is a reason BCB won so many JD Power awards. The customer service is for real. Im sorry the dealer has not communicated things correctly. I can imagine your frustration. BCB cares about there owners. Ive been to the factory and can tell you they work there rear ends off. But you can only produce so many boats a day and keep the quality BCB is known for. You can rest assured that you will be getting the best quality boat made. I would much rather wait for a BassCat than get another boat quick that wasnt up to my standards of quality. BCB will do everything in there power to keep a customer happy. Ive seen it many times.
