Hi, I have PII with hot foot and I am not comfortable with it becasue I am 63″ and hold the hot foot steady for a length time worn my leg out! I wonder if its possible to remove the hot foot and use the hand handle? if so, how?Thanks.

Yes, you can remove it and place a cable in the throttle assembly.

I had to do this on my Classic .( Im 68″ ) Just be sure to put short screws back in the holes where the hotfoot screws down to the floor , and put a dab of silicone sealer on them to keep water from getting into the floor / stringers . If youre real careful you dont even see where it was mounted after the carpet fluffs back up .

Do you have an instruction copy on how to disconnect the hot foot?

Suggest you have a dealer do this for you. You will need to install a new cable attached to the throttle quadrant. Leave the hot foot cable installed and stow the ends in the engine and under the dash. That way, you can reconnect the hot foot anytime you wish (also helps if you want to sell the rig). change over cost about an hour in labor.jwt

Cables too long for hand control , but cables are fairly inexpensive , and readily available on ebay . — Not difficult to do if youre mechanically inclined . — Just take your time and watch how it comes apart .
