Sounds like a dumb question, but everytime I pump in to fill the livewell on my Puma FTD I will fill it just half way. I try to keep them half full depending on how many fish in livewell to keep weight down. But, when I put on the recirculate or aearator I always com back and check it later and the water is all the way. How do I keep it at a specific level that I want?

I would just like to have one day where the fish weight actually slowed the boat down!

Only through using the cooler plug and removing the screen for access, then only using the recirculation pump once you have the level desired.

Cooler plug = 5/8 inch drain plug. The drain plug should be behind the bottom most screen.

Hmm…mine will stay at one level, if you fill it to the desired level and then just use the recirc pump.

Only way to do it is keep recirc pump on but not a good idea in the heat of the summer(I think you need fresh water coming in) in my 93 PII the overflow drain is near the top of the livewell, I guess I could drill another hole 6 inches or so below that drain hole and put another drain in and use a plug if I needed to use the full use of the livewells.( I might do that. Thanks for the idea.)

If you only use the recirculator then it will stop at lake level in the wells with the valve on auto.

Im confused.I thought I could turn the valve to auto, fill the livewells to desired level, then just run recirculator pump and it would maintain that level? Why would I need to take the screen off and put a plug in?
