Tritons no wood marketing push is what started the shift of the industry to no wood. Although wood is a perfectly fine material for boat building, their marketing efforts soured most buyers on the idea. If I remember correctly, BCB began all fiberglass (which is better then the others “composites” IMHO) in 99 w/ all wood free by 2001. Now here is the rub. Composite is simply something made of separate parts or elements, and one of those elements could be wood. So all composite construction may include wood. It is worth noting that BCB is an all fiberglass construction which is different from all composite. There is no wood in current BCB boats.
