This is turning into a nasty little storm……
Is it so wrong that Im actually weighing the risk-benefit of fishing in 65 mph winds to take advantage of the potential feeding frenzy associated with 28 inch barometric pressure?I have dangerous thought processes when I cant work!
I am at work ridding it out, Venice and Grand Isle has been hit hard the fish kill is going to bad. The fishery was just getting back on its feet but now we will be starting all over this really sucks.
Atchafalaya River at Morgan City reading is .65. That should be interesting. I think you could find some moving water.
sure did make it rough on some
Just finally got power back yesterday afternoon, My son up in Hammond got some water in his place but I havent been able to go see how bad because the highways were still closed, but his landlord is already pulling carpet and stuff so it can dry out, while my sons unit keeps an eye on the dam at Percy Quinn Park up in Mississippi.
I know it sounds crazy, but the water is still coming up here in Paulina, Lutcher, Grammercy area. Weve been sandbagging for the last couple of days to try to stop some of the homes from getting water in them and Yesterday I thought it had crested but this morning it looks like its still rising. Were doing ok though and well pull together as a community to help those who are unfortunate enough to get flooded. Our little area is pretty good at that. Im lucky to live on some of the highest ground in the parish so I dont have to worry about water. Just praying for those who are in danger of getting water in thier homes.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.

One of the best days I had on the water in years. Lucky for me though, the storm was gone by 11:00 AM and I only had to deal with low water.- Chaz

Is that flooding coming from Lake Maurepas backing up through Blind River and Mississippi Bayou? Ive never seen flooding like that in Lutcher Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!
Gosh, we all have our tragedies. Here its tornados and ice storms, out west fires and earthshakers, south has hurricanes, storms and floods. Just seems we all have areas that we are prone to natural disasters. Those on high ground like Chris seem to have planned for it though you cant plan for everything in a natural disaster. The unexpected effects you and if not you then your friends. Glad your alright in LA and glad your helping out in your communities. Hope everything settles down from the leavies being breeched. BCB.
