More me thinking out loud and seeing what people have to say on this than a specific question.
I’ve seen or read things talking about a smaller plate (thee 3 or 4 inch vs 8 or whatever) running in cleaner water and being a benefit. I think I had seen that from Rick. I also recall in the past on the Sabre the comment had been made that no jack plate helped with hole shot or something to that affect.
So what I was wondering are we are own worst enemies on this? Such as we get it in our head that bigger is always better when in reality it’s not always the case. I fall into that same trap many times. I know there are multiple variables to it. But is it a benefit for a smaller plate it certain circumstances other than just storage length. Is it something on Bass Cats end where they would prefer to put a different plate but consumers want different things. Like BCB commenting they prefer leaf springs but the demand is for torsion axles
Just seeing what everyone’s thoughts are and what BCB’s thought is on it.
