I am looking at getting a rapid jack jack plate for my sabre which currently does not have a plate. Will it be OK to go with a plate that has the standard 4 hole bolt pattern instead of the bcb models that have 6? Also really wanting to put 2 additional holes in transom.

Also can BCB give their input regarding jack plate install and hull warranty. I am going to have Greens boat and motor do the install. Is it OK to put on an 8 in plate On my 2008 sabre? Will installing a standard 4 bolt pattern plate void the warranty?

The 8″ plate is acceptable, though BCB only condones the six (6) bolt plates. The transom support is greatly increased on what is already the strongest transom in the market. This is written over and over again.

I have retrieved this discussion from the forum since Im encountering the same situation. Forgive me for not understanding fully, but when you said, “though BCB only condones the six (6) bolt plates”, does that mean the warranty will automatically be voided if I have chosen to install a 4 holes plate? Your swift reply is greatly appreciated!

TGfish, you might be hard pressed getting a reply in the next couple days due to the starting of the dealer meeting. They will reply as soon as they get a chance though.
