Jaguar with a 350 Verado What is the correct setup?

I am having problems getting my Jaguar over 50 mph. I have tried a 26 Fury, a 26 Bravo XS and a 27 Tempest. When all the PVS holes are open I hit the Rev limiter when the boat”breaks over”. What are the prop type and pitch that is recommended? Also what prop to pad is the best set up. This is the 2015 Boat that had a 400 on it. With regards to weight, the “belly” tank is full of gas and Live wells full. 36 volt Xi5 on the bow. 10 poles and about 50 pounds of tackle.

It sounds to us like the engine might be too high. If it ventilates that is an indication.

26 fury is what basscat sends that set up out with(got my jag/350min may)the fury will not have the lift of the bravo for sure.26 bravo on mine would break your neck on hole shot but hit the limiter at about75,28 bravo has about a 4 second hole shot but was gonna be stout on top end with great lift but my pos merc has issues so reguardless of prop or engine height I get to 76.2 mph and it feels like someone hits the brakes,several props do the same thing and varies from 5800 rpms and up.my boat finally gets to the shop next week and hopefully they can figure it out(also wont start about half the time without crankin it 4-5 times)curious if when you get to 50 if it just stops climbing in speed or someones hits the brakes and you loose speed?im wondering if all the epa crap on top of these new gas tanks are causing a vapor lock type of deal.long story short a 27 or 28 bravo is probably where I end up do to the lift.

I am going to put the Bravo XS back on and take my 27 Tempest off. When I hit 50, the throttle is buried and it doesnt climb anymore. The engine cavitates when the boat is about to plane out. I thought this was from having too many PVS holes open? What should the prop to pad be? The engine sounds great and has no problem starting. My other Jaguar has a 250 Pro Xs and has no problem hitting 70 mph. So far the 350 doesnt seem to be giving me the horses that I am used to, after all I came out of a Bullet with a 300 Pro XS that had no problems hitting 90.

That rig usually runs a 24 to 26 Fury on factory set ups.

Looks like it got figured out–Need smaller pitch and less motor in the water.

I run a 25 fury and get upper 70s easy with the same set up loaded. It seems to be best for hole shot and top end.

I cant imagine what you are experienceing Andy. I never had that problem. I loaded her pretty good with tackle and although it blew out a little coming out of the hole that was always when I felt like I had a basscat running like I wanted it on the top end. i marked a place on the jack plate with a sharpie that I felt like the boat ran at its best. Got her up in the high 70s. Working great. Just getting used to a Verado over a 2 stroke. Thanks all–Great Boat!!!
