I just got back from the local V.A. hospital here in Des Moines, I took about a 50# Lbs. box of Bassmaster, F.L.W. and whatever else connected magazines over there and, to tell the truth, the folks over there, to say appreciative, is an understatement. So, the point is, if you have a bunch of Bass magazines or the like piling up in garage,”No Playboys or Hustlers” mind you, just boxum up and take them to your local V.A. hospital, they can use them more than you know!!

Thats a great idea! Never know what to do with all of my old magazines and hate to throw them away.

You can also take them to your local Disabled Veterans of American Post. They often provide transportation to and from VA facilities. The same goes for VFW, American Legion and other veterans organizations. I currently have a couple of boxes of magazines in my truck for drop off. The are usually listed in the phone book so you can find out if they will forward them to the VA.

Excellent idea! Now I know why Ive been keeping all those magazines.Another thought, if you are into giving things that you normally throw out…For the past 20 years or so Ive been collecting all the Christmas cards at works and sending them to St. Judes Children Hospital. I cut off the front of the card and send that. Those things are like treasures for the kids to make things out of. Greatly appreciated.
