so i just purchased my first BCB (2009 Puma FTD) and not real sure of the next step. I know i need to go and fill out the transferable hull warranty and I believe there is still a warranty on the Merc 250 pro XS but not sure how to transfer that or even extend it, if possible? Is there anything else i need to do? I would like to fish in the BCB tournaments so is there something i need to do so i can get updates on when and where these are held? Thanks for helping…ToledoAngler

You need to-Buy a #2 square drive for all of the screws in the boat in case you decide to work on something.Watch the BCB videos on the home page from Crews and Short and Mccaghren and Butcher that may apply to your boat- livewells and such infoFigure out how the alarm worksLabel all of the pumps in the sump area so you know which is which.Would check all resevoirs in the boat- trailer tongue(under black cap that rotates off with flathead screwdriver, hydraulic plate, motor trim fluidPurchase a nut wrench for transom bolts and jack plate bolts to be checked regularly.Purchase sockets that fit battery trays and battery nuts(no wing nuts) and the screws.Get on BCB website and look at how boat is put together on a boat like yours.First time you trailer it check hub temps with your hand. In Texas right now they will be hot but you should be able to leave your hands on them. That should do it!C.O.D. Jr. III

#2Post us some pictures!
Also called a red robertson screw driver Curious as to why BCB uses this type of screw?
Give us a fishing report(assuming your name is for Toledo Bend)Congrats on the new cat
hookminthelips, They dont slip, no stripped #2 Phillips heads. Better quality in construction. We hate those rounded #2 screwdriver bits that make that ratcheting sound with the power driver when the bits worn out. Plus the center of a #3 Phillips fits a #2 square drive bit great. The screws are all custom made for BCB in stainless as they were not available as a shelf item when we went that way about 15 years ago. You can buy Simeon stainless now without having to have them specialty made. It just takes time for everyone to catch on. Its simple!
Plus one on the #2 square klein in the boat. I already had one as I am an electrician. Most all Breaker boxes use the square drive for the reason BCB just stated. Much better at getting that tight connection needed to prevent excess heat at terminations.
Thanks guys i appreciate the support and web-links!! i will post pics over the next couple of weeks. , Tx76, yes my login names represents Toledo Bend. I fish the bend AVIDLY and have stood in front of the same sign you are there at Toledo Tackle. Hope to be standing infront of that sign again soon. , ||
