I had a mercmonitor installed on my Cat and it has been giving me thermostat warnings since day one. Took the boat out a week ago or so and the motor was only warming up to 90 degrees or so. Figured something was off, did one search on the owners page here and had multiple posts and even one with pics on exactly how to get into the thermostats to check them. Sure enough the starboard side thermostat had a sliver of wood stuck in the top of it and I guess wasnt closing properly. It sure wasnt anything big ny any means, just a tiny sliver..but hopefully thats all it was. Checked port side as well and it appeared clear, port side one was a pain in the butt to get to. Anyway, couldnt have done it without you all!! BTW, Im very glad I had the mercmonitor installed, if it wasnt for that alarm, I would never have known about this issue..man, what a disaster that could have turned into one day. Bryan
