no, but youre going at a good time. Up until 0800 when they stop pulling water they will be on the points, use cranks. After that pitch jigs or soft plastics to the brush. Good luck out there.- Chaz

I havent checked the water level, but if its up spinners and buzzbaits will be money in the timber too. Ive got a club and an ABA this weekend so I wont be able to make it.Good luck out there. Knock em dead.- Chaz

I fish the 6 man last weekend with the Va Bass Fed Nation The lake is in good shape Pitch a brush hog in the bushes will get a quick limit .One my club member got 6.05 from up in the river

Last I heard the jigs had to be brown with green trailers. For some reason black and blue aint cutting it this year.- Chaz

Thats because we sore lipped them on black and blue last year, this year using a green pumpkin/brown skirt with a few strands of orange and a green pumpkin trailer- check your livewell for crawdad parts when your bass leave you a present

Ahh, that makes sense. I know when I went down there last year they loved that black and blue. In addition to spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and motoroil brush hogs. You think theyd come up for a frog on the shallow sides of the brush piles?- Chaz

I think they would chew a frog as the water is up in the trees, the biggest wave of the spawn will likely happen this weekend with a full moon on the 17th. We have found many bass on the beds, but they were not locked on and would scare easily. Consider skipping a weightless senko back in the woods. Last year i swear we got ticks we were in the sticks deep! You can crank points when they are moving water, after that pick your spots and fish the area thoroughly, tree by tree.
