Just read DBs greatlty written story. Good luck Kevin and Id love to have been a fly on the wall at some of those dinners to hear the stories.

I will miss them as I follow the Elites in the future. One of the class guys for sure. Best of luck to them in their new ventures.

Very sad news for watching the Elites. Kevins one of the most colorful characters on the tour and the sport will be a lot “drier” because of his leaving. Hope Rick will keep us in the loop as to where he lands and what the next chapter is for Kevin. Im sure he will do just fine….

Bull butter! Hes just semi-retiring so that he will be eligible to win the GAF so he can add that title to the list. It is sad to us that he will not be touring with the Elites but Im sure when he sat down and thought about it….it wasnt too hard of a decision. Family is everything to me and it sounds like it is to him as well. Rick told everyone in a staff meeting last Thursday that Kevin would be announcing his retirement this week. Some of those there it shocked and he will be fine whatever he aspires to next. It is our understanding he will remain an Open competitor.

I hate to hear that. I certainly understand it though. Its a difficult, stressful, expensive job to try and make a living at. I would love fishing all the different lakes and habitats across the country, but trying to do it knowing how badly I needed a check would take ALL the fun out of it. Id need Mark Cuban type money backing me up to keep from stressing about it.I wish him all the best and I hope he stays in a BassCat. Maybe well get to see him at OIs and on Bull or Ouachita from time to time. He will likely be in camouflage without the Pink wrap anymore.
