Im sitting here watching it split screened while I type. Hats off to the guy – HES UNBELIEVABLE!! Im also impressed with Palaniuk. I bet his nerves are shot. Im a die-hard Ike fan but KVD is just incredible.
I was sure that Brandon was going to do a lot better than people thought, Ive fished tournaments against him up here in the Northwest. He just puts his head down and loads the boat.
Just like last year I counted him out as far as winning. I didnt learn my lesson. You can NEVER count him out.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
What happened to Russ Lane on Day 1?
Speaking of Russ Lane today – Id like to thank all my sponsors, Phoenix Bass Boats The Best ridding boats out there , I never did hear any of the BCB guys say a word about their boats ,but correct me if im wrong . Looks like Russ is getting that carrot on the string over there w Phoenix. But anyway King Kong is the man !
i didnt hear any BCB guys mention their boats either, i could be wrong as well . whats a carrot on a string?
John Crews mentioned his Bass Cat but didnt pile it on like the others talking about it being the fastest boat or the best riding boat. And another thing…..I dont know if it was Russ choice to run a Jag last year or if it was a marketing plan to get the boat some more exposure, BUT if he was concerned about being one of the fastest boats out there then he was in the wrong boat. Now Ill admit that a Jag running in the 70s is running as fast as some of the other rigs but its one of the biggest boats out there. And then he says that the Phoenix is the most stabile boat he has been in. Give me a break…..maybe with a little feller like Kevin Wirth or KPink in it. I watched Fishing University with Charlie Ingram and Casey Ashley fishing from a Phoenix and every time Charlie moved so did the boat. Also, while we are talking about guys mentioning their rides, I didnt hear anybody mention how their Ranger has handled either. Did he have to be towed back or something on day 1 to get a zero? I like Russ and could really careless about what boat he is fishing out of. I just cant see him zeroing like that.
he gambled and it didnt pay off but did his thing today and had a 7-14 big bass but hes out. i gouldnt careless if he was in a javlin or a venture hes a good ole boy
LOOKS LIKE YOU NEED A 30 LB BAG TODAY ….
KVD is gonna need more than that. He needs a new truck too. Kelly White stole it!
Thats awesome for Kelly. He has been seeming like he is having a blast out there.- Chaz
Theyll know something is up when the find a PII hooked up to the truck.
