Whats up fellas? Luke, I am at work and cannot have a cell phone with me. I will call you tommorrow. I will be done with this turnaround somewhere around the middle of October and will be more than happy to help any of my BCB brothers any way I can. Ive got a 4 bedroom house with a spare bedroom and an office with room for a nice air matress. Im 45-60 minutes from any launch in the Basin and will be looking to spend some time on the water after this is over. Unfortunatley the fishing in the basin has been very spotty. I had an 8 pound stringer in August and came out second in a local tournament. 12 1/2 pounds won it. A 12 pound stringer is big right now, but by the time the open comes down I expect it to take in the 13-15 pound a day range to win. This is a huge body of water folks. More canals, bayous, lakes, rivers than you could possibly cover in one tournament. Its going to be very important to pick an area and concentrate on learning it and find where they are hiding. It breaks down in 3 sections. The north end which is about 30 minutes from the launch site, the Middle portion is pretty much 10 miles north and south of the launch, and the south end extends about 20 miles south of the launch. Then you have the marsh which will require locking and is about 45 minutes from the launch. The Belle river side would require locking and would be about 45 minutes as well. I could talk for hours on this but have to return to work. Ill check back in later. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
