Went on a business trip to Japan and wasn’t going to pass up a day of fishing on Lake Biwa.Leading up to the day, weather was stormy and lots of rain then the day of, a high pressure came in which we think contributed to a tough day of fishing In addition, we estimated 500 – 600 boats, counting groups of 100 boats!! Lots of fishing pressure……..Everyone was finese fishing! It was a finesse day of fishing, with 4 lb line, wacky rigs using 3” plastics, no shaky head just hook. Also, fished a small swim jig tipped with a keitech 3” swing impact. Guide caught a 4lb bass early and I lost one near the boat . Ended up catching a couple dinks before lunch break and one later in the day. Fished for about 9 hours……The guide was very profeesional and new the lake well. The southern part of the lake is a massive flat area with few humps and miles of grass lines. We also hit the shoreline in case they started their beds and found nothing, pitched some cover but only saw turtles lol.The guide is a huge fan of Brandon Palaniuk follows him on facebook and instagram. The fishing terminology is all American so the language barrier wasn’t that difficult!Zoom in on this picture!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
