Good thing about Fork is there are no bad starting areas. Pay attention to the boat lanes and everything will be fine…if you get out of them idle and idle only. I had a tournament out there this past weekend and really struggled so I dont know what to tell you besides people are catching them about everywhere from deep to shallow. Glade has kicked out some fish this year and you might try Long Branch, I havent been in there in a LONG time. These are all on the same side of the lake as Bell is and the 515 East ramp is a good one. On the other side of the lake Birch, Big Mustang, Little Mustang and Williams seem to do well. If I had something to share I sure would but as I said I was LOST this past weekend like I dont think I have ever been on that lake. Good luck and if you arent in a boat lane idle…I know I said this already but it is important. Judd Lasiter
Were leaving Friday for Fork and will fish Fri – Mon. Were staying at the Minnow Bucket. My first trip too, but luckily will be with some folks whove been there before. Good luck!! Steven
Oh and as far as catching a big fish probably going to be hard to beat a jig or big worm. On main and secondary points…the breakline will probably be decent too. You wont get the bites but should catch a good one eventually. A buddy caught a 6lber this weekend on a jig so that might be starting to turn on. Good luck and I hope you catch a big one as your birthday present. One thing we didnt do was fish the in between stuff we tried shallow and we tried deep. The topwater bite was off even for us…caught fish in the topwater areas but just nothing of any size hit the surface. They are chasing shad because we saw quite a bit of brief schooling throughout the day. I hope you have fun too Steven! JL
