thanks for the tips guys, and meow i also let mine go, but will be fishing by myself and if i am blessed with a “nice” one, would have to run it back in for photo ops, then let it go (wouldnt mind having to run back in a couple of times) . thanks justwingem, plenty of watermelon/red (didnt know they made any other colors) so ill pick up some black/ blue. thanks again.

Spend some time at the hump north of 2946 as well as the submerged 2946 roadbed where it crosses the creek channel. It would also be worth spending some time checking out Italys Sock. As far as baits I would throw Drop Shot and Wacky Rig.

thanks grande, see the roadbed, the left side cove where the roadbed ends up should be where im gonna put in and i see a hump on the left side of the boatrun above the bridge, cant find anything on the map about italys socks but hopefully all this help will keep me busy. thanks.

We are going down for about 4days of fun fishing, Just woundering if the deep bite is on ? Have heard it might be a little behind. We really like to fish the deep bite this time of year. …………..Thanks Jerry

The only thing I have been hearing is that Hawgs are being hauled out of that lake left and right. Sounds like you are going at a great time. Bets of luck and please post pics when you get back.

Talked to a guide friend there yesterday and he said they are catching them really good this week , but also said fork will be on fire next week !! good luck ..go catch a hawg

They are a little early, though supposed to be hot by weeks end. The moon is bringing them up big time. It has been tough though till now.

Me and a group of friends are headed there April 19-24 and it looks like we will catch the back half of the spawn . We moved the trip back a few week because ever year in March the weather kills us ! Looks like it was a good move with all the cold weather pushing the spawn back. Good luck to you and post some pics and let us know how you did .

Thanks everybody for the advice . I will need all the luck in the world. I have been down there twice and i have always been just a little early both times. I fish mainly norfork and bull shoals so I dont consider myself a real shallow water fisherman. Heck, there aint even a rock to throw at down there! Lol!

Big ol full moon tonight here in DFW.The fat girls at Fork are moving up afer much delay due to cool / high water.Check out the posts on Texas Fishing Forum – Bass Fishing, lots of pics of some #9 + pigs!Penson, Glade, Little Caney, and Birch Creek should work for ya!
