I will be in Vegas in September for a conference. Ive heard about some of the lakes around there with smallies. I will be flying in so I want have rods/reels/tackle….any recommendations on guides or any BCB brothers willing to hook me up? LOL

There are no lakes in the Las Vegas area direct, You will have to visit Havasu or Mojave, which is 2 hours. Start by calling JJ Gibbs at Gibbs Propeller and ask him who guides there. Bob LaLonde and more live in the Lake Havasu City area and can definitely benefit you somehow.

I know there arent any lakes in the city, and I dont mind a drive. Last year this conference was in Orlando and I went to Toho and Kissimmee with Wisnewski and Tidwell. I know Mead is closest but heard the better fish were in Havasu and Mojave. I will look into Gibbs. Thanks!

I just fished the Nation western divisional on Meade last month, the fishing was better than I thought it would be, lots of striper guides there.

Yes Mead has lots of stripers guides and Havasu is a better smallmouth reservoir.

I may be able to get for a half day or longer by then. Live in Boulder City. September is mostly warm but thats the time of year our season begins to change and the fall bite begins….Have not been out for awhile and will look forward to getting out again in a few months. Mohave is getting better and better every year for quantity and size of smallies. Havasu is awesome most of the time. It still has bad days…. Let me know when the time gets closer. Thats Mead in the back ground….

ya mead was awesome just fished the nation there like mike did and had never been there and would recommend it to anybody
