Has anyone had problems with their fuel tanks leaking at the supply fitting on the tank? My boat is a 2014 Puma FTD with the dual 26 gal tanks, When I first got the boat the left tank started seeping. Contacted Richard at BCB and he said get it to the dealer. I took it to the dealer 2 1/2 hours away each direction. They hadnt seen this before, put some kind of sealer at the fitting, didnt really solve the problem still seeped. I took it apart and put a very good sealer under the nut and it seemed to fix it for a while, now its leaking again. I think there is something flawed with the tank internally at the supply fitting. Of course now Im out of warranty with BCB. Im thinking now to see how much a tank costs and replace it before I have a fire. And to add I dont overfill the tank when gassing the boat. Im real curious if Im the only one with this problem or if its a little more widespread? Not to disparage my dealer, just not interested is pursuing the dealer option, it took four trips to get the ProXS leaking oil pump fixed. Heres a pix, Thanks, Dave
A buddy had a small Pin hole on his cougars Tank and he had to replace the tank. I would call Parts in the AM and get one on order, I would not wait on this issue.
What year model is this boat and what model? All tanks are obviously checked before we receive them, and we also check the system again for pressurization and retention at installation. BCB

You would think a flaw would have shown up before now on a 2003 model. Have your local dealer contact Service and they can figure it out. They will need your serial number to track it. BCB
my 2015 10gal tank was seeping there. you are not the only one. My dealer got me fixed right up, not exactly sure what they did to resolve the issue. My dealer is only 10 minutes from my home which is nice.Dave.
That is a Moeller issue and happens from overfilling. The dealer should have received a kit from BCB that Moeller supplies to repair that. If they tried a sealer, then we are suspect that their repair was not the supplied parts. BCB
I have a 2016 Cougar doing the same thing.
Basscat has been in touch with me already and they are working with me to get this fixed. Even though my boat is out of warranty they are stepping up to get this corrected. The service after the sale is what separates BCB from the pack. Will post updates, thanks BCB
My 2014 Cougar FTD is doing the same thing, but only on the port side tank..the starboard side is not doing it..i never fill them over 3/4 of a tank..what exactly comes in this repair kit?
Please contact your local dealership and BCB will be glad to cooperate to solve any top seeping issue you have. Moeller has been made aware and they are in the loop. BCB

BCBDropped my boat off at the dealership today to get my fuel leak fixed and also have my fuel cap changed out. The liner has come loose and takes an hour just to fill the tank up.
The fuel cap should have nothing to do with the situation and they retain 1 to 2 pounds (1.6 avg) of pressure.

The red liner is blocking the filler opening. I did what BCB said by trying to open it up with a wooden dowel but it helped very little.
