Leaking perko

I have the chrome perko latches on my 2007 cougar. Just about all of them leak in the rain. A couple dont leak until I open the lid then you can see the water coming through. Is there a way to fix these or am I gonna need t upgrade to southco latches? Planning on keeping this boat for a while so I will upgrade if needed. Opinions?

Check to see if you have the o-ring,gasket between the plastic nut and underside of the hatch door.

Plumbers grease packed in the latches helps.

My white caps were leaking. Took all of them apart replaced the orings and used the plumbers grease. Improved water seeping 95 percent. Not sure how the perkos are built but bet their similar in style2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
