BCB: I have a 2003 Cougar FTD. My under seat storage has leaked since new. I think I have it figured out as to why. The storage cut out with the bubble trim around it is square/rectangle. On the rear of the folding seat it is cut out on semi-circular pattern to fit into the seat back. It seams there is a slight area on each corner of the seats that the weather strip is outside the seat bottom. There is a mark all around the seat where the bubble trim contacts. It leaves the corners open for water to get in. What can be done about this? It gets old having to empty everything out to dry after a weekend in the rain.

cover the hole w/ a folded weigh bag b/n the hole and seat. That is what I do following my seat upgrade. The buckets are very comfortable and look great, but my water tight storage isnt as water tight as they were w/ the original bench seat.

There was an ABS molded tray that fit over the opening. The 2003 seats were a change from the in house BCB seats. We felt the fit was not quite right on the corners. You can change the trim style and alter that some, though the best answer is the vacuum molded cover. Parts should be able to fix you up at no charge on a 2003 if they have the part. BCB
