I was looking at the NOCO as my cul-m-rite finally died. (after being the original in an 03 P4-Id say thats good). Does the NOCO “suck less” than others? Ive been using 2 manual chargers, and may keep doing that.
I had mine for just over a year now installed at the BC factory, they are some smart chargers and like BCB said Amazon has good prices on them right now.
I like mine and it is not too bad to carry around. I like the fact that it will charge 3 batteries in 3 hours.
I have a Lester 24volt charger. I rarely use it, but I will if my onboard charger conks out. I will have to get one for the cranking battery though. Those Lester chargers will charge a battery in no time. I sure wouldnt say that they arent too bad to carry around though. Those bad boys are heavy!!

Good deal, but was looking for a 36V charger. This will make someone with a 24V system a great deal.
From my understanding you will have to purchase a stand alone for your cranker. The Lester comes in a 24 or 36 volt2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
Mine from kshort has plug on it that plugs into trolling motor plug up frontC.O.D. Jr. III
My Lester 36v plugs in at the bow and charges the trollers, I use another standalone 12v in the back. Its not a hassle and all my batteries are done in 3 hours or less.
Ill have to check it out and see about the plugging into my trolling motor receptacle option i like the sounds of that and could just have my regular charger for the starting battery. Funny story i called Lester yesterday just to ask my best option as Ive heard great things about their product and if i would be best with two chargers (24v for trolling batteries and 12v for starting) and the guy i talked to told me that they used to make a 3 bank for a company called Basscat and my best option would be to call this place out of Nebraska its spelled like this C….A….B….E….L….A….S asked if i heard of it as they sell an actual 3 bank charger that would be my best option. Now unless if I took him totally wrong and he was being cocky with me i think that he actually was just too nice and pointed me towards the easiest cheapest option. I had no response so i just went with the Thank you sir have a nice day and ended the conversation LOL. I was hoping for a more robust 3 bank charger that i could hook up every time and it looks like my best option would be to run with the lester 24v model plugging into my trolling motor plug and an additional charger out back for my starting battery. I think having a separate one for starting would help me to have the bilge compartment open when charging to vent fumes as well.Mike – Being that your batteries are charged in 3 hours you must be using the higher amperage model, what unit are you using mind sharing a part number? Ill need a different unit but thatll give me the amperage/battery and such that i can figure which series and size i need for mine. Thanks guys
Im using the model direct from that darn BassCat company! Mine is the older model, Id call BCB and ask which one they recommend.
Mine plugs in through trolling motor receptacle and is for a 24V system. On the front of the charger it recommends no more than 120 minute charge at a time. I set at 2 hours after every couple trips, unless its a marathon type day, and theyre always good to go on that charge time. Actually considering getting rid of mine and installing 3-bank on board so I can do everything together and at once. Currently is set-up with a single bank on cranking battery and Lester on 24V trolling battery system. It was set-up like this straight from the factory.
I highly recommend Lester. I have used both 24 and 36 V chargers depending on my setups. I trust them after having built-ins fail. As a matter of fact I happen to have an all but new 36 V Lester if someone would like to try it. I live on Lake of the Ozarks.
Thanks guys Ill place the order with basscat and go with the two stand alone chargers one for trolling one for starting. Going to look into the 12v model once I get the 24 up and running I see they have them listed on the website.
I have a 24 volt Lester that I loved but no longer have a use for it since Ive been running 36v trolling motors lately. I would make some a heck of a deal on a 24v Lester. The problem is shipping will be high because it is heavy!! If I get it sold, Ill be buying a 36v one for sure!!
