After a slight safety accident with and A/C D/C on board charger Im really interested in purchasing the Lester portable charger (cost isnt an issue anymore). I looked on Lesters website and there are many to choose from, I currently have a 24 v trolling motor with a cranking battery. Does Lester sell a 3 bank portable charger or do you have to purchase a 12 v (how many amps do yall recommend) charger and charge independently?FYIIve been fortunate to run BassCat Boats for 12 + years and never had an issue with charges. My first charger was a CSI that worked flawless, the second charger (second boat) which is an AC DC unit had an issue with the DC portion and The Company was phenomenal about replacing. When I hooked the replacement back up the circuit board on the unit was bad so it cased a severer electrical arc (sparks flying everywhere) not to mention my elbows where resting on a gas tank. When the wires arced I couldnt separate so the fear of explosion set in and I got off the back deck and sprinted towards to front. When I stopped I realized the wires where still connected, as I calmly glance to the back of the boat the bilge area was filling with smoke. The final verdict was to get back on the back deck and disconnect the wires, no explosion no harm. The company replaced that unit with no problem. I wore one of the SWAT team explosion proof suits when I connected the replacement unit so now everything is operating well. Sometimes you just dont forget about incidents like that so I personally would feel safer by using a potable charger. I read BassCat forum everyday so please remember this is an isolated incident.Your help is greatly appreciatedBrian
