Hey Guys,Just wanted to take a moment to remember those who gave everything believing that “All men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…”To them this weekend, our hats are off, we stand at our feet, and say thank you from the depth of our heart.Everyone of them gave some, and some gave all. Thank you to our fallen vetrans, and those who went and were willing, and to those who are still serving in harms way today. If they had not done and do what they did and do, I would not be blessed to have the freedom to do what I do.God bless and Godspeed,DougLast edited by sunrisepoint on May 24th, 2014, 6:11 pm, edited 1 time in total.

well said thank to all who have served
Served in Nam. I came back healthy in one piece, some frinds did not. Have been able to move forward with my life and be productive in society and industry- many were not. Was able work long enough at a good jog and actually retire. Another better job came along and I came out of retirement and went back to work. I did not experience the trauma several of my friends encountered if/when they returned to US. I feel myself very lucky to survived Nam! I feel grateful to God I was able to resume a normal life after my return from Nam. I am also grateful that I have been able to focus on the things that were inportant to me prior to my deploymnent–Bass Fishing. I must also mention I feel lucky to Own a Bass Cat Eyra made by the best boat company in the word and enjoy a trouble free day of recreation and leave my troubles behind. OK MOW BRING ON NEXT OI @ RAYBURN, AM PUMPED UP %100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wish to give credit to my fallen brothers and sisters in Nam, was ugly

I will be placing a flag and flowers on my Uncles (mothers younger brother) grave this weekend. Ensign George W. McJimsey USS Lexington, Fighter Squadron 20. Naval Fighter Pilot KIA December 7, 1944 in the Philippines hit by anti aircraft fire while escorting a photo recon plane. I was one month old he was just 21 years old at the time.
Amen, may God Bless all who have served and all that are serving. May he hold the Combat Fallen and those who have passed on tightly in his loving arms.Thank you to all active duty, reserve, retired, and veterans who may read this.
Thank you for the post Doug. BCB
These men were most influential in my life, from left to right, Joe (My Father) Ray, Johnny, Robert, and Richard Molina. All saw combat in WWII, survived though a couple showed scars for life. When I returned from Nam, it wasnt my friends, my old girlfriends who came to see me but it was these men. I suddenly realized I was now an equal to them I was no longer nephew Steve. But now almost the 6th brother. All are now gone but Ray, none of them ever bragged of what they did or even talked about what they did. Imagine where we would be if these men and millions of others had not done what they did.Never forget those who served or are serving this country.Steve “Gunz” MolinaUSN 71-75
