Lid Shock Install on 08 Cougar Advantage

I am wanting to install a total of 5 lid shocks on my 08 Cougar Advantage (three for the tackle storage compartments & 2 for the back fuel compartments). Currently they are not installed, so when I open my boxes all the way, all of the pressure is placed on the hinge in the fiberglass. What size shocks do I need to install? On the BCB store they offer a long and a short. The Long is 15inches extended and compressed at 9.5, the short is 10inches compressed at 7 inches. Also, what poundage would you guys reccomend, they offer a 30, 40 & 70#. Thanks for the imput.Matt

I would call parts and talk with Alan. HE may not have the info right away, but if he can, you will get exactly what you will need. You will also need the attaching parts for the shocks.Have you Build/Serial number handy.

Than we need someone with a Cougar advantage to give you some shock sizes per locker. If you dont get an answer on this board you can also try here: http://www.bbcboards.net/forumdisplay.php?f=30Once you get the info, update your thread. Will help others during a thread search.
