Carbon Fiber (graphite) is fine for lightweight hoods and cosmetics. Though the cost for good graphite is rather exorbitant for production bass rigs. Years ago it was just expensive a pound for the good stuff.

Lake & Bay is an expensive flats boat which has a very, very small production base. They are owned by a radio magnet (multi station owner) who simply wanted to save the company from potential failure and have a marquis, from our understanding. The market for flats boats are very niche oriented and not competitive due to the limited sales of this segment, such as Hells Bay and some Maverick business. Though Maverick is a more volume boat, whereas L & B is a boutique company.

But if you had a decent flats boat that had better storage it could double as a bass boat. I sure would love to see how that combo would sell, especially if you incorporate BassCat color options. Most flats boats are white. Put a center console in Margay, stainless everywhere, an aluminum trailer. A big hit.
