little question on mercury motor

My motor broke this week-end, it was purchase new in june on a basscat ,now it wont start at all it will turn but dont start , since im living at 5 hours from my basscat dealer ,is any certified mercury dealer should be able to fix with out any charge !

Any Mercury dealer can work on your engine, though do a little research to make sure your safety switch cord is in place and everything on the fuel is full. Then figure out the issues. We would be glad to help any way we can! BCB

i could ear the beep from the alarm , i was able to started , it took about ten time and have to give some gas ,but when it did start you could ear like a bearing with no grease sound like if it was the alternator issue something like that!!

Marty they should be more than qualified and supposedly have a quality service shop. Though we do expect a wait for service there.

Good morning . first thing i like to say is my boat as been fix already with in 24Hrs it was only the spring that hold the binder tension on the strap that broke down , so my Mercury dealer change the spring and the strap since the strap had expended little bit .Last edited by marty on September 16th, 2010, 11:28 am, edited 1 time in total.

I have a 1994 Bass Cat w/200 hp merc, but for some reason the alarm on the oiling system keeps comming on.It appears to be oiling the way it should, but I sure would like to know for sure, can anyone help?Thank you,Darrell WarrickTexas
