Live well Control Valve cable

Make sure the nut hasnt come loose on the cable for the empty/auto switch. Gain access to the back of the switch. There is a nut that holds the cable to the switch. It has been known to come loose over time. It will keep you from getting that extra bit needed to get the detent to click and the valve close.

ThanksChadOn a positive note, It will all be new from the switch to the valve! Remember when pulling out the old switch and cable to connect something to the cable. You can connect the new one to it, and pull it back thru. Makes it much easier! I use tie wire or even speaker wire. Just wrap the connection with electric tape. Anything that will hold and help it slide freely.
