Livewell control valve replaceme

Looking to replace my livewell control valve as it is worn out. Dont want to repair it. Just replace. Any I for as to how I do that on my boat? I have a 96 PII with the old pull cable for livewell open and close. The new one is the lever left or right for open and close. Will that one work and how do I mount it where the old one was? These 2 are different sizes. Also Thanks in advance.

Never had to replace the one on my 95 Eyra , but just replaced one on my 2010 Cougar FTD. Works great except it is backward ! Replaced just like the original came out….the pipe to the pump can only screw into one side. Now empty is “auto ” and auto is ” empty ” Too much trouble to try and change the valve again.

It should mount where the old one was and other than getting an old choke cable and replacing yours with that unit, this is your only option at this time.

If you are replacing the old push/pull type, with the new round lever auto or empty type, you will have cut a hole for the new round one to fit.
