Does the aerator pull any water from the livewell or is it all fresh water? Looks like the pump housing has 2 suctions, 1 from the livewell, and 1 from the thru hull fitting (fresh water). The cable operated manual valve is attached to the housing as well. Here is my problem. The manual valve leaks through so the livewell gradually empties. Tried flushing through the valve. No change. Looks like a PITA to pull the valve out so I was planning to just put a rubber plug in the hole in the bottom of the livewell to hold the water in. If the aerator pump suction is all fresh water thats what I will do until I have time to pull the pump/valve assembly out. Boat is a 1995 Pantera.
