SteveThe lever down low “auto”/”empty” is simply open/close. Put in “auto” to close valve. You have two aerator fill pumps. One on the round touch pad and one on the retctangular touch pad. Both will pump water into the livewell. The one on the rectangular pad can also be timed. You will notice that the button will have the numbers 3, 5, and manual. This is the rate at which the pump will come on. I may be wrong but “3” is 3 minutes between cycles and “5” is 5 minutes between cycles and of course manual is “on” all the time. The recirculation is the same as far as time. The aerator fill switch on the circular touch pad is a “manual” operation. Once on, it will stay on all the time. The button labeled as “pump out” on the circular keypad is simply aerator “pump out”. Push this button to pump out all the water in the livewell back into the lake or river for culling purposes or for weigh in purposes.Hope that helps! Good luck in you tournament!
Phil, Thats what I thought, thanks. The reason I asked is because when I hit the pump out on the round touch pad, it pumps water in. When I hit the aerator on the rectangular touch pad, it pumps water out. Do I have to check the pumps or wiring? So what your telling me, is the round touch pad is like the manual switch on a champion, and the rectangular touch pad is for timed control?
Steve,Check with your dealership or our Service Dept to make sure your aeration is functioning. It sounds like a wire might be reversed if you are pumping out when you hit the aeration on the A-Ten touch pad, which is on the right and is rectangular. The circular one should pump out. BCB
Over the past ten days Ive sent 2 emails to service regarding this, and have had no response. Ive sent the emails to [email protected]. Is this the correct email address?
Swap the wires down at the respective pump/s would be the simplest fix. If email isnt working, you can always call Bass Cat at 870-481-5135.
Thanks Phil, Ill give it a try.
That is the correct email address and both emails came in and we did respond to both of them as well. Perhaps they were booted by your spam filtering system. Regardless, please give us a call and well get your problems resolved.BCB
That explains the lack of email. I just installed a new wireless system in my house. I guess the spamkiller on my laptop is killing more than spam.
We have established our position on livewell control valves a few times. They tend to fail occasionally and can be more confusing when not operated properly, which is most often the case. In your case it sounds like the cable has come loose. The panel should twist out, as it is not held in standard with a rear mount. Those small black screws will have to be removed also. BCB
Okay, I found the problem. The nylon sheath the cable rides inside of broke about an inch from the end. Ill have to order a new cable. Thanks for the feedback.
You betcha! Sorry for the trouble. We polled owners a couple seasons back on whether they wanted to remove the valve or not. THe resounding opinion was to leave the valve. Jussoyaknows! BCB
Can we have a re-vote?
I need some livewell help. I know this has been covered before, but I went back 17 pages and couldnt find it. Please bear with me. Below my shift lever is the master power switch, under that is a valve lever that has empty on the left, and auto on the right. What does this do? Is it simply open and close? To the left of my steering wheel is a round touch pad that has pump in on the left and pump out on the right. Again, what do these do?On the rectangular touch pad to the right of my steering wheel is recirc (man, 5, 3) and aerator (man, 5, 3). What do these do?Can someone give me a quick synopsis on these functions? I have a 2 day on Thursday and Friday, and want to make sure I can fill my livewell and run it properly. Thanks everyone for your feedback.Steve
Is the aerator running (can you hear it running) when its not pumping.
Several different pumps in a livewell system. One will pull from the transom and fill livewell. One can be connected to the livewell control valve, one can be connected to the livewell and used to recirc and one can be to pump out. which pump is it?
