BCB – I saw a boat for sale (dont remember the brand) that has a livewell temp gauge. Sounds like a cool feature but not sure how well this would work or if it would even be useful. Have yall ever thought about adding this feature and why/why not? Not looking to add one but it just piqued my interest.

If you have a merc monitor you can take the air temp gauge and make it into a livevewell temp. Actually read that over on bbc board.

Bass Cat use to have live well temp gauges back in the late.90s. Back during the smart dash days.

Actually had livewell temp gauges in some boats in the 1980s and made them standard on P2 and Sabre dashes in 1993.

I guess they werent that useful since they are no longer offered? Again just curious as to how useful they are. I know with how well the livewells in Cats work you dont need to worry about this but thought it was a unique idea and did not know that BCB had previously used it.

My 98 Jag had the Live well temp and I really found it useful during the hot summer months.When the water temp is in the 90s, I could add a little ice to the water. Being able to monitor the water tempsafter adding ice was nice. You would be surprised how much it helps lower water temps with just a small bit of ice.

I keep a Hot Tub thermometer in mine. Mostly because I dont have the Hot Tub any more. It is useful in the summer to make sure I keep the fish happy and healthy…
