Livewell timer question

Hey Guys. Well today after a year of owning my 2000 Sabre, I decided to check my livewells. They run and fill on manual but when you switch it over to auto, they will cycle on once or twice and then wont come back on. Can this be a bad timer that is maybe getting hot? Havent talked to parts. Thought I would try here first to see if anyone might have an answer. Thanks in advance.

Not sure wat set up you have. But my old cat a 88 model done this a couple times. Both time it was the timer pod. In fact my father in laws boat was doing this just awhile back. I ordered 2 of the pedometer s and pods from parts for him. Fixed it right up2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

Mine has the manual and auto on the same switch with the min and max setting on a dial beside it.

Parts has these as a kit. Shows same symptoms as my old cat did. Sound like same set up. It either the pedometer or the pod.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

It is probably the potted circuit boards inside the shotgun shell style case. They were prone to failure and yours sounds like its been a good one!

Does this wire in to the harness under the dash. Also does parts haave these since they are pretty old. Thanks

Yes, parts should have those and the timer potentiometer (dial).
